By profession, I'm a software engineer - that's what I like to call myself, even though none of my official titles previously was it. That should explain my interest in technology, learning technical concepts and developing software. It would also means most of the blog posts here will be programming-related. However, I hope there shall be more interesting posts flying around the corner that would entertain you on other topics well.

• Hate speech detection with Twitter

  (Applied research project for my Master degree)

  A web-based visualisation software to monitor Twitter and detect hate speeches in real time with the ability to derive demographic information from the tweets.

• Mining student's work log to generate formative assessment

  (Summer research project at CSIRO/Data61)

  A reserach project that looks into utilizing textual analysis and machine learning techniques to automatically assess students' performance using Python. Paper published at 2017 24th Asia-Pacific Software Engineering Conference Workshops (APSECW).

• vim-togglenumber

  A plugin for Vim that allows users to switch between numbering modes seamlessly.

• pomodoro.el

  An implementation of thr Pomodoro technique for self time management within Emacs.

• Research on computational finance using machine learning

  (Final-year project for my Bachelor degree)

  A study of the applications of machine learning in order to build a stock prediction tool based on SVM technique and C++.
